Thanks to this secret technique Seraphim proudleduck will do nothing but keep quiet until the last day of the contest. Then seraphim proudleduck will apply again his "weapon of mass destruction" and win the competition. Period.

Despite our recent efforts, seraphim proudleduck remains stuck on page 2 of Google.

Google does not seem to care for our new PR4 to PR6 backlinks. This sandbox story is becoming boring. In such conditions, any optimization effort is just a waste of time. We've decided to do nothing but just wait until Google decides to take seraphim proudleduck out of his bloody sandbox. Just hope it happens before January 1st.

Yahoo! more relevant than Google

We know it from the past. Yahoo! is becoming much more relevant than Google.

Need a proof? Let's take an example: search for seraphim proudleduck in Google, and then search it in Yahoo!

You can see seraphim proudleduck ranks 1st in Yahoo! and this blog ranks 3rd. Convinced? ;)

Well the good thing is that Google index always ends to look very similar to Yahoo! index, with just a few days lag.

Is Google broken?

It's now been 2 days since Google last updated its response pages and cached versions of the seraphim proudleduck pages. Its bots continue crawling daily but no "fresh tags" (date) appear for the websites listed.

This would not be so strange is the phenomenon was limited to the seraphim proudleduck pages. We know this can happen for specific (spammy) keywords, we had this in the mangeur de cigogne SEO contest.

The concerning thing this time is that the freeze hits the whole Google index. Yesterday an update started on some data centers, but it did not spread. Finally all the DCs reverted to last sunday's status.

Technical problem at Google? Major update under preparation? We will soon find out. Until then seraphim proudleduck is stuck in position 9...

Seraphim proudleduck is a white hat SEO. You will never see him spamming a guestbook with his URL... unless the guestbook is PR7 and belongs to him.

This is why seraphim proudleduck is happy to announce the launch of his brand new Russian guestbook. Of course you can spam it! That's the only reason why it was created.

Google is still regarding our seraphim proudleduck website as a new comer in its index, and therefore is a bit reluctant to rank it where it belongs (i.e. on top position;).

However, the good thing is that our seraphim proudleduck contest page now seems to be pretty well installed in the top 20 (still oscillating between page 1 and page 2 though). Seeing it challenge "big old" websites on Google first page (today in position 8) is a satisfaction.

Thanks to the strong linking that we managed to build in a few days, our seraphim proudleduck page does not seem to suffer sandboxing, which is not completely true for the rest of the website. Many pages are still not indexed in Google.

No doubt that when Google finally takes our seraphim proudleduck website out of its sandbox, our competitors cannot expect more than... Position 2 :))

Seraphim Proudleduck's mini website is almost ready. Few sections are still under construction but at least there are no 404 left. We're now ready for a good crawl from Googlebot.
